Cute Companion

Isn't this a cute face? He is the companion of a neighbor of mine. She is elderly and lives alone except for this little guy - her buddy.

Curly

I know --- another flower image!! LOL! I promise to move on to something else today. I do need to stretch myself. Just so much fun to take pictures of all the flowers I see. These are my favorite marigolds because that yellow edging on the petals just glows against the bright red. I must have 50+ of these in my yard. I not only love taking pictures of flowers - I love planting them (and making new flower beds, and moving rocks, and building walls and especially DIGGING IN THE DIRT)

Stop the Action

I just loved this bee who came to visit while I was getting more flower photos. I couldn't get a shot from the front but when he spread his wings to take off I captured this one.

Deck Chair

Deck chairs ----- So comfortable and a great way to watch the world. One of my favorite parts of summer is eating out on the deck, or just curling up in one of these chairs to read or even with my laptop.

The Door

With almost no bugs here we can use these security doors instead of screen doors and keep air moving through the house. Oh it's nice to be able to sleep with a cool breeze and no mosquitos dive bombing your head!!

Faded Flowers

Gallardia (blanket flowers) - these are "fading" fast. We have had some hot summer temperatures (90+) the last week and I forgot to water every day so all my flowers are kind of limp right now.

rain rain and more rain

Actually we have only just started getting rain and I LOVE IT!! Finally a new post. My camera was giving me problems so ..... It's finally all fixed and here are more flower pictures. After 7 months of photos I have learned there are 2 things I love to photograph: 1. Flowers and Plants

2. People And I especially love getting up close. I have also learned I do not really enjoy the big picture landscapes. I enjoy looking at other people's but just don't like taking them. Hmm. Never knew that before. Anyway .... so here is a very wet and droopy daisy
